Description: For a US-based eCommerce company in the fashion industry I developed a web-based ERP solution for managing and processing inflow and outflow of goods, inventory, as well as individual stocks for different products, locations and distribution channels.

Applications for processing consumer and corporate loans

Description: For an international bank, I worked in a team of 6 developers who developed various enterprise web applications that allow merchants and consumers to apply for loans. These applications also handle the processing of applications and contacts. Numerous back-end systems, e.g. core banking systems and risk assessment, are connected via a service-oriented architecture.

Managerial accounting application for accounts receivable and accounts payable analysis

Description: For a renowned consulting firm in the accounting industry I developed a web application for working capital and cash flow analysis. The application visualises results using various dynamically generated charts and allows a flexible Excel data import and export.

Stratospheric – From Zero to Production with Spring Boot and AWS

Description: In mid-2021 and together with two co-authors, I published an ebook titled “Stratospheric – From Zero to Production with Spring Boot and AWS“. This ebook is a comprehensive guide to developing and deploying Spring Boot applications in AWS Cloud environments.

Freshcard

Description: Freshcard is a digital business card distribution platform. Freshcard allows you to easily connect and exchange contact information with business contacts. Freshcard does away with traditional paper business cards and the hassle they’re causing.
The web application allows you to manage your contact details and create your individual business card layout in the browser (using HTML5 canvas and SVG).
The accompanying iPhone app lets you connect with people right when you meet them.

Role: Entrepreneur, CTO, developer, product designer. Apart from product design and development, my job as CTO of Freshcard was to coordinate a team of developers, designers and service providers to ensure that new product versions were delivered on time and in the right quality.

ZenQuery

Description: ZenQuery is an Enterprise Backend as a Service.

Many enterprise companies amass huge amounts of data in many different data stores.
Data is kept in silos, which are usually hard to access. Creating new applications that make use of this data such as mobile apps is hard and often takes a lot of time and unnecessary overhead.
While today REST APIs allow you to quickly and flexibly access data and services from a multitude of sources, putting internally available data to good use is still comparatively difficult. ZenQuery is an ‘enterprise backend as a service’ that alleviates this problem.

ZenQuery provides you with an instant REST API for your SQL queries. Anything that can be expressed by SELECT * FROM … ZenQuery turns into a conveniently accessible API.

MemoEasy

Description: For many companies, no-shows are a considerable problem. Doctors, hairdressers, insurance brokers alike – for these service providers and in many other industries, a large part of the business is conducted via pre-arranged appointments. Appointments that are not kept are not only annoying but also lead to sometimes considerable losses in revenue. Such sales losses must then first be made up again. Missed appointments cannot be re-allocated at short notice. Often appointments are simply not kept because customers have simply forgotten their appointment.
MemoEasy solves this problem. With MemoEasy companies can easily manage their appointments online. Customers receive a reminder by SMS or e-mail in good time before an appointment.
