A few weeks ago I announced that together with fellow software developers and tech bloggers Tom Hombergs and Philip Riecks I have been working on a new project called AWS 101 for a few months now.

To recap, the basic idea behind that project is to provide software developers and businesses with basic templates, recipes, building blocks, and overall best practices for developing, deploying, and running a Spring Boot application on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Since the “AWS 101” moniker was a bit too close to Amazon’s AWS brand (both legally and marketing-wise) we’ve now decided on a new name and title for the project and the upcoming eBook specifically:

Stratospheric – From Zero to Production with Spring Boot and AWS.

Its purpose and our mission is to provide you with everything you need to know to get a Spring Boot application into production with AWS.

The eBook itself is still very much a work in progress but the new Stratospheric website is available already, including more information about the eBook and its authors and a more specific outline of what to expect in terms of content.

The Stratospheric GitHub repository is now available under this URL: https://github.com/stratospheric-dev/stratospheric
